Photos

Upload photos, set a default profile image, and adjust focal point cropping.

Each horse can have a gallery of photos. One photo is selected as the default and used as the horse's avatar throughout the app.

Uploading Photos

Open a horse's profile and go to the Photos section. Click Add Photo to upload one or more images. Supported formats include JPEG and PNG.

Photos are stored securely and only accessible to your account.

Default Photo

The first photo you upload becomes the default automatically. To change it, open the photo gallery and click Set as Default on a different image. The default photo is used as the horse's avatar on the horse list, dashboard, calendar events, and anywhere else the horse appears.

Focal Point Cropping

Horse photos are displayed as circular or square avatars in many places throughout the app. By default, avatars are cropped from the center of the image, which doesn't always frame the horse well.

Focal point cropping lets you choose the important part of the photo so it always looks right when cropped:

  1. Open the photo you want to adjust
  2. Click Adjust Crop (or the crop icon)
  3. Click or drag to set the focal point — this is the part of the image that will always stay visible
  4. Save your changes

The focal point is remembered and used everywhere that photo appears as a thumbnail or avatar.

Tip

Setting the focal point on the horse's head usually produces the best-looking avatars across all screen sizes.

Deleting Photos

To remove a photo, open it from the gallery and click Delete. If you delete the current default photo, the next photo in the gallery becomes the new default. If no photos remain, the horse will show a placeholder avatar.
