Horses
Browse your horse list, view detailed records, add new horses, and manage photos.
The Horses tab is where you view and manage all your horses. It shows a searchable list, and tapping any horse opens a full detail view with tabs for every type of record.
Horse List
The main screen shows all your horses in a scrollable list. Each entry displays the horse's photo (or a placeholder), barn name, and breed. Horses with an active pregnancy show a pregnancy badge for quick identification.
Search
A search bar at the top lets you filter by name. Start typing a barn name or registered name to narrow the list.
Add a Horse
Tap the + button to add a new horse. You can enter the details manually or scan a registration paper from the Scan tab to have AI fill in the fields automatically.
Tip
Scanning a registration paper is the fastest way to add a horse. AI reads the name, breed, color, date of birth, sire, dam, and registration number directly from the document.
Horse Detail View
Tap a horse to open its detail view. The detail view is organized into tabs:
Overview
The default tab showing the horse's identity information:
- Barn name and registered name
- Breed, color, pattern, and markings
- Date of birth and age
- Sex
- Height and weight
- Sire and dam
- Status (active, sold, deceased, leased)
Tap Edit to update any of these fields.
Medical
Medical records and health issues for this horse. See Medical Records for details.
Reproduction
Mare reproduction tracking including cycles, breeding, pregnancy checks, foaling, and progeny. See Reproduction for details.
Husbandry
Day-to-day care records:
- Feed — current feed program (type, amount, frequency)
- Supplements — active supplements
- Allergies — known allergies and sensitivities
Documents
All documents associated with this horse, including scanned images and any files uploaded from the web. Tap a document to view it full-screen.
Contacts
Contacts linked to this horse — vet, farrier, trainer, breeder, and others. Tap a contact to see details. Swipe actions let you call or email directly from the list.
Photos
Each horse can have one or more photos. The primary photo appears in the horse list and at the top of the detail view.
Adding Photos
Tap the photo area on the detail view to add or change photos. You can take a new photo with the camera or choose from your photo library.
Cropping
After selecting a photo, a crop interface lets you adjust the framing. Pinch to zoom and drag to reposition before saving.
Editing a Horse
From the detail view, tap Edit to modify any field. Changes save immediately and sync to the web dashboard.
